Processing Office xml documents (xlsx) with PHP

Question

I need to create some php based processing component based on Excel (xslx). I thought that there are several open source projects around which they are located. Does anyone have specific experience / advice on this for me? That is, with whom to go, what should be avoided?

I have used PHP-Excel many times. One of the authors has several examples on the blog, I'm sorry only in Czech .
