How to perform multi-line search using regular expression?

Question

I am new to regular expressions.

I want to do a multiline search. Here is an example of what I want to do:

Suppose I have the following text:

since you did not specify a programming language, commonly used patterns are used here to accomplish this

/yourRegexpattern/m  <-- the m stays for multiline

you can also use

/yourRegexpattern/im <-- the i stays for case insensitivity

to remove the need (P|p), etc.

In C #, you must specify these flags in the regex constructor, just use autocomplete.
