Editing Live CSS with Textmate & Firefox

I'm used to editing CSS live in a browser using the FF dev toolbar. However, I skip Textmate and syntax highlighting. I am looking for a plugin for Textmate to edit CSS in real time while browsing in Firefox. I tried other editors like CSS Edit, Espresso, Coda, but no one matches the strength and flexibility of Textmate.

Ideally, Firefox with the Live CSS panel on the right (Textmate goodness) and Firebug at the bottom would be the best scenario. I have an intermediate environment, but it slowly updates / restarts every time for changes.

The best way to find work with TextMate, CSS, and Firefox is to use the "ReloadEvery" add-on for Firefox (assuming you work locally, of course) and configure it to update every second or so.

Then check the option in TextMate to save when you lose focus, or just Cmd + S, and the changes should be “next to” instantly in Firefox.

I don’t know, I know, but it seems to work.

I think there is also a TextMate plugin that would allow this, but it uses the WebKit rendering engine, not Gecko.

Hope this helps.

Try Playground at http://owyheesoftware.com/playground . It reboots every time you save a file that you are working on.
