IPhone UILabel with URL discovery

I'm looking for an iPhone control that can just display text and detect URLs (http, email, tel) inside that text. UILabel does not support URL discovery. A UITextView can do this, but it's too heavy to use in the chat application I am developing. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
