Keep Firefox Sidebars in the Sidebar

I created a bookmark in Firefox that links to a hosted web application that I wrote and displays the application in the sidebar using the option “Download this bookmark in the sidebar”.

When the application appears in the sidebar and I click the links there, these links open in the current Firefox tab, and do not remain in the sidebar. I would like the linked page to appear in the sidebar.

I hope that there will be a simple solution, for example, setting the default target with the base tag, but I can not find the link that gives me the information I need. It would be useful if the solution does not limit the application to the sidebar only and still allows the application to launch a full-screen window.

I think all you have to do is link or add target = "_ self"

This might be a workaround rather than a real answer, but you can try using javascript to change document.location to a new URL. Sort of:

<a href="javascript:document.location='http://whatever'>click me</a>

This will use the same "window" object to display the new page and load in the sidebar.
