1) Read C ++, stl and the tagged question about stackoverflow related to it daily, Try to analyze      problems, think of solutionsand understand the decision given by others

2) :) Start working in C ++ in your work, if you have good senior people who do a strict code / design review and give valid comments, you will learn C ++.

3) Participate in open source projects , download the source code and analyze it.

4 As for the tool: use a source code analyzer, such as coverity , window debugging tool package or something equivalent in unix,

But don't believe anyone if they promise that you can start by not knowing anything and become a C ++ guru in 21 days or something like that. I have been programming mainly in C ++ for nineteen years and still do not consider myself a guru.

Simply put, just start coding and you will soon find out what you need to know. You can read all the books in the world, but until you can apply the knowledge, it is useless.
