Is it possible to selectively generate assemblies?

My pom.xml is used to generate about 8 builds. Therefore, when I run the mvn: build assembly, everything is generated. Is there a way to selectively generate 1/2 assembly at a time?

You can put assemblies in profiles , so they will only be generated when the owner profile is activated. You have various options for activating a profile based on the presence or value of properties or files. You can group more than one assembly into a profile if you always generate them together.
