Why not use a Java start instead of other RIA frameworks?

Many RIA frameworks have appeared (flex, extjs, gwt, to name very few).

If my server is written in Java, why not use java-web-launch?

The advantages that I see: I get a program in a language that is easily debugged (compared to javascript), I can use the same code on the server and on the client side (checks, model objects). With SWT, I get a nice graphical interface.

Even if it means that a plugin is required in the browser (or using the cli tool), if my application is a corporate application, does it matter?
