Recommendations for determining the maximum frequency for processing an SSAS cube?

Question

We have an Analysis Services cube, which should be as real as possible. This is a relatively small cube that currently takes a couple of seconds to process.

Are there any recommendations for this? I'm curious what other people do.

Would it also be too common to work on cube processing? Will the main problem be loading on the SSAS server and the source database? In our case, this would be rather arbitrary. How will SSAS clients affect? Current consumers of SSAS are Excel, PerformancePoint, and Sharepoint / Excel.
