Which company / platform / browser will be the first to have high-quality 3D support?

I have been working a lot with Flex / Flash / Away3D lately and started learning about Unity3D and Processing, but I'm still waiting for the day (hopefully soon) when you can build Wii / PS3 as UIs that can be used with most computers. It would be great if I could just add simple lighting effects to a panel with 3D textures, but it looks like it will be a bit.

I hear all the time that flash gets openGL support, but so far I have not seen anything specific. Unity3D seems to be the best thing so far, but maybe you guys heard some backstage news.

What platform / language should we start learning if we want to be ready when full 3D support comes out?

Well, it currently exists in WPF3D with XBAP in IE. This is probably the best option currently on the market.

The Google O3D API is probably the most promising for the future, though, since they are making great strides towards the open 3D standard in the browser.

3D- ; . ( , ; ). , , ( "open3dweb" ).

The 3D Web idea fascinates me, but I'm still not sure how widely it will be used. This has a huge “cool” factor, but I think we are still working out where it is really useful and in which direction. I believe that viewing web pages in real time in the 3D world, and World Portals, combining individual 3D sites, are also game changing technologies for interactive 3D, but it is not yet clear how much 3D is a game changer for the Internet .. .
