Resizing an Engine application image without maintaining aspect ratio?

Question

When I cause the resizing on images using the application engine, they keep aspect ratio - I do not get the size that I ask for.

I'm trying to make NTSC rectangular pixel images from square pixel sources, so I don't want this behavior

I want to take a 720x540 image and resize it to 720x480, but what I actually get when I request a resize is a 640x480 image.

Is there any way around this?
