My application works fine on devices 3.0 and on devices 3.1 when starting through Xcode, but it crashes when starting when starting on device 3.1 when installing via iTunes. It does not leave the alarm log behind, but puts it in the console:

The application has a file Default.png, and it shows up for a moment, but I think it can be downloaded by SpringBoard / launchd / whatnot, so I don't think this is a sign that I actually ever worked.
I created a second project in the same field and used the same credentials and certificates to build it, and it creates and runs through iTunes without problems.
