IE8 Standards Mode Enable Compatibility Mode Error Log?

So, I am developing a site and trying to troubleshoot multiple browsers, and I noticed that when I launch my site in IE8 standards mode, sometimes it kicks me out and forces me to switch to IE8 compatibility mode.

I was wondering if there was any kind of journal that was created so that I could keep track of why it did this.

Unfortunately, there is no information provided by the developer tools that explains why a particular browser and document mode was selected. The tools show the currently selected modes so that you can follow the changes, but then you need to find out what caused the change manually. http://hsivonen.iki.fi/doctype/#ie8modes contains some information on how IE8 arrives, selects modes.
