Is it possible to switch a Microsoft Access Forms application to work with the reverse side of SQL?

I was asked to provide an estimate for changing a relatively small application developed using MS Access to use an SQL database.

First, is this possible? I have never worked with Access, so I would like to know. If possible, can you point me to some tutorial websites about this?

Secondly: if possible, is it recommended? Is this a big success? Any specific actions / domains that you can and want to share?

Thanks in advance for your help.

something like a big step towards sqlserver .... we kind of dodged it by going to the WAN replication service with AccessTables.com and staying with Access ... at least for now ..... Growth was just one problem. .. working with the web interface or terminal services was also part of it ...
