How to configure Eclipse not to delete the contents of the class folder at compilation?

Today, when I compile my java sources, eclipse deletes the entire contents of the class folder (also files that are not classes) and recreates all the classes.

This is not good for me, is it possible to configure eclipse so as not to delete the entire contents of the class folders, but simply run all the classes?

The class folder is not a good place to store your resources; it should be a clean output folder.

If you need nonclasses in your classpath, you just need to put them somewhere in the source path, Eclipse will copy them to the directory classes. This means that you can perform one of two steps:

  • .java
  • (, "res" ) .java .
