Cryptographic failure signing assembly <creation_name> .dll '-' bad provider version '

I have acquired a certificate of authenticity from a reputable provider.

Now I want a strong name to be collected, and then signed it under a number.

This is what I have done so far:

  • Extracted the public key from pfx by running sn.exe -p keypair.pfx key.snk
  • The "Sign the assembly" and "Hold only the subscription" checkboxes on the tab "Project properties tab" are checked
  • Provided by key.snk as a key file to subscribe with
  • Extracted public key token by running sn.exe -tP key.snk
  • Disable strong name checking on my devbox by running sn -Vr *,

, keypair.pfx. , , , dev- .
