Poll flood prevention

I'm going to create a very simple poll, but I am worried about the people playing the poll and just re-voting again. I'm not saying that someone double-clicks the submit button, but is maliciously trying to fill the survey with garbage. Although I understand that there is no absolutely reliable solution, what are some of the ways to protect my application?

Presumably you are speaking in terms of a web application? Captcha is popular - they prevent automatic flooding.

Cookies can also help a little (if the user is not smart enough to clear it).

IP-, , (, IP- -, , -, ). ( - ), .

, IP ( , IP IP), (, , ) .

:

  • , ( )
  • IP- ( 100% , )
  • / , CAPTCHA BOT

you can record the IP address associated with each vote and make a quick db request to see if any of this ip votes. this is not perfect, because people can move to different networks with different IP addresses, but that would definitely cut the game down in a poll.
