Create a notitcation web service for iPhone in asp.net c #

Does anyone know how to create a push push notifcation web service for iPhone in asp.net (C #) that I can call using the JSON protocol? I would like the HTTP request to have an alert sent to a different iphone device id. Is it possible? Any sample code will be helpful.

iPhone 3.0 and later supports push notification via Apple, see the SDK . I suggest you use this technology, as it allows your application to receive messages while they are not working, and does not lead to an increase in battery power than your iphone already does.

In addition, as mentioned above, Rex M Web services do not support push technology out of the box. The way to do the drag and drop of web services is what Microsoft uses the exchange: make a server call, and then have a server block (i.e. Do not answer) until the server has an update for the client. So:

  • The client makes a request to the server
  • Connection between client and server is open
  • The server blocks the request.
  • After some time, the server wants to update the client, and then finally responds to the client.

. - , . , IIS.
