Javascript Performance Enhancements

Question

I am currently struggling with javascript performance issues in Internet Explorer (IE7) and struggling to find good information about performance improvements, whether for a specific browser or in general.

I think it will be useful for all of us to have a link / tips / hints to improve JavaScript performance. Feel free to post what you think will be useful to the community!
