Methods for assessing confidence in team experience?

I am trying to determine the confidence level of my development team in our automated test base (unit, integration, webtest). I would really like to get reasonable answers to questions such as:

• What refactoring do you expect to receive / not covered by the tests?
• Do you trust the green build for automatic deployment for an acceptance test environment?
• Will you trust the green assembly for automated deployment directly in the factory?

I was hoping that there were some pre-existing indicators and, possibly, questionnaires that I could use to study this area. My goal would be to increase the level of automated deployments, but I really believe that we can automate what developers trust / believe.

Does anyone know of any methods to study this?

I am not aware of any existing work in this area. Your questions are good and put them on paper with 1-5 stars for each question, which should give you an idea. Other factors to consider:
