Account Strategies on New Social Support Sites

Question

So, I am in the center of creating a site connected to Facebook. This site will use your social schedule - as determined by your facebook account - to do social things (which is really not important here). Here is the big question I have:

Do people still use their own authentication heuristics when using something like Facebook Connect? That is, new sites (FBConnect) today provide only FBConnect as an authentication strategy, or do they associate it with other authentication strategies (such as Google Auth, Open ID, etc.)? What do you think is the best way? Now that Facebook has over 300 million users, is 1 authentication strategy (FBConnect) enough? Or is it the right netiquette to provide other means to users?
