Does anyone have experience using Adobe Air to create a BitTorrent app?
Are there currently any links to this?
Please provide as much information as possible.
As far as I know, torrent uses μTP , which is based on UDP ... UDP is not available through the AIR API ... you may want to embed a small Java applet (inside an HTMLLoader that is outside the display list) ... signed Java applets can bind ports and do UDP ... so you basically let Java applets create networks and bind the TCP port through which the AIR runtime can communicate with the applet ... maybe there are many Java torrenting libs threads there ...
it's a little doubtful whether it makes sense to use AIR in general, and not just have a pure Java solution, but I think it's up to you ...
back2dos is wrong ... check the DatagramSocket class in ActionScript 3 link
