Provide data as needed for QTMovie

I understand that if I wanted to provide QTMovie with data from an arbitrary source as needed, I would probably have to deal with the QTDataReference class, but, unfortunately, my experience with anything like this is limited to accessing audio data with audio buffers on iPhone

If I initialized a QTDataReference with some NSMutableData, how would I know when it needs more data, and, moreover, how would I “clear” the already played back data about the movie and provide it again when the user turns back (I want them to could k)?

Basically, the movie data that I want to provide is ultimately obtained from a set of files (which are really separated by only one file) that become available sequentially during playback. This part is crucial.

Anyone who leads me in the right direction can get beta access to the first stream of the Mac OS X Usenet movie;)

You probably can't do this with QTKit. Start with QuickTime Overview and from there.

, , QuickTime, QuickTime , ( URL-) , QuickTime Player/ QTMovieView , QuickTime .
