Windows 7 Action Center

I would appreciate if someone could lead me to the new MS API needed to modify / manage the Windows 7 Action Center. What I need to do is combine the backup notification messages in my application, which is the backup application in Action center. In other words, I want Windows to show that the backup operation was successful after the backup was completed by third-party software.

To be more specific ... is there a way to handle backup notifications in the same way as security / security status messages ... for example, after installing the Anti-Virus application ... The anti-virus field in the action center displays a message similar to this:

<App Name> reports that it is up to date and virus scanning is on.

Where <App Name>is the name of the third-party application.

Is there a way to do something similar to this, but in the "Backup" section of the Action Center ?.
