Visual Studio Extensibility Resources

Question

Does anyone know of any good resources for getting and expanding Visual Studio Extensibility (tutorials, etc.)? As far as I can see. Or mayabe I just use the wrong keywords on Google.

I am currently having problems navigating to resolve and accessing code files.

Not sure what you mean by "code model". A good place to start is the VSX MS Learning Center . A complete diagram of the open object model is here . There is also the possibility that what you need is a FileCodeModel, in which case you can use it directly (or, alternatively, ProjectItem.FileCodeModel), and you will get many examples and links .
