Empty popup in SharePoint

I am trying to connect a filter web part to a document list web part, but a popup showing filtering options is empty.

What am I doing. I, as I described earlier, have the QueryStringFilter (MOSS) web part, and I want it to send a filter parameter to my document list web part (out of the SharePoint box).

  • I am switching to the site editing mode.
  • I click on the filter drop-down menu and click on the "Connect-Send filter string to document list" button
  • A popup appears but is empty.
  • After 5 minutes of waiting, the popup remains blank.

I have been using IE 8 since MOSS 2007. I tried Firefox and Chrome, but I get the same behavior. Have any of you experienced this and do you have a solution?

Now I get a popup. I think I solved this by manipulating the security settings in IE, but I can’t say for sure. It just works. Perhaps this was after rebooting my computer or only IE, the settings do not take effect before restarting the entire client ...

Hope you have MOSS with SP2 because IE8 support is enabled with SP2.

If this is not a problem, you may want to help yourself in SharePoint Designer (for free).
