Hosting a Jar for Web Applications Using WebLogic

This seems like an elementary question, but I want to make sure that we are doing everything right.

We make webapps using Spring MVC and serve them using WebLogic. Where should banks fit in this setting?

We talked about placing business logic in jars that will live on the server path, and application-specific banks will be packaged in WAR files that will be deployed. We know that if we redistribute the bank in the path to the server class, we must abandon the server. Is there any way to avoid this?

If this is just one web application on the server, just run them in WEB-INF / lib. Otherwise, the j2ee shared libraries discussed here provide flexibility and are easy to use and deploy to WLS.
