Resource Files for Delphi

every time I write a resource file (.rc) and drop it on top of bcc32.exe, but nothing happens. if I drop it on top of rc.exe, it gives me a .res file that does not work in delphi.

so what do I need to write to a .rc file in order to get the correct .res correctly on bcc32? (pls example) let's say i want to have abc.wav which is on my desktop. thanks

This is the brcc32.exe file that you want, not bcc32.exe.

This should create a .res file for you.

However, you can also slightly modify the {$ R} directive so that you do not have to manually compile your .rc file.

IIRC, {$R yourfile.res yourfile.rc} , Delphi .rc .
