Delphi 2009 (and possibly Delphi 2010) and QTP

We have a set of automated tests written in QTP (Quick Test Pro - an HP product), and we just upgraded to Delphi 2009 (I know that we are late adopters), and all these tests no longer work. The plugin released by QTP does not work with Delphi 2009 - we have this in writing from HP. You know (a) someone else in the same boat as we (b) someone else has a job around, since I can’t see one and HP doesn’t seem to be too active about it. Any help would be appreciated.

We have the same problem with WinRunner. The problem is really resolved. We edited the source of the plugin so that it responds correctly to UniCode strings, and everything works correctly. Not sure if we are allowed to legally publish (or really do), but this allows us to use WinRunner / QTP, so I don’t see how anyone can complain!

I do not like to admit this, but if QTP does not work completely with Delphi 2009, you need to try TestComplete. If you still want to use QTP as your primary tool, you should try running TestComplete tests from QTP through COM automation.

Thanks.
