One of the problems that arise in the work of a small group (sometimes even large organizations) is to switch contexts very often. I could write the PHP code right now, followed by some completely unrelated C ++ an hour later, followed immediately by HTML / JS, and repeat the process again on the same day.
Effective use of the context switch is important and requires discipline.
What habits / practices do you use to help you switch contexts effectively without wasting time?
Get into the habit of holding a notebook near your keyboard and writing things down while you work. A quick page scan does wonders for updating your short-term memory, even if notes don't make sense in a day or two.
I can relate to this, and I think the term "randumbized" (yes, this is intentional) is a good synonym for context switching. Too many context switches can leave you wound up if you don't approach it the right way.
