Porting a python application to mobile platforms

I have a python application that works great on Windows, Linux, and Mac, which I would like to port to several mobile platforms like Blackberry, Windows Mobile, Palm, Android and iPhone.

I have a couple of ideas:

  • An application on the platform that supports some kind of Python, such as Android and Windows Mobile.
  • a port application for Java to immediately target most platforms.

What would you recommend?

Jython is out of the question , so either go with supported phones (Windows Mobile, Android, Nokia S60), or rewrite it in J2ME.
