SharePoint Projects

Question

I recently went to SharePoint, I bought a book by Ted Pattison, and that's great. However, I will solve some "real" projects / problems that need to be solved.

So this question is valid for all of you SP developers there. What are the most common customer requests? Is it creating web parts, workflows or content types, etc.?

If you cannot provide any of the above data for one reason or another, can you offer any project ideas? I know that the std answer is what interests you, but I would rather focus on a project as close as possible to the real world.

I think web parts are a good start. Try creating a web part that aggregates data from several different lists and displays that data in a good panel view.
