Link in Marquee unclickable!

Ok, my deal, I have a tent like this:

<marquee style=";position:absolute;left:608;top:10;
font-family:Arial;font-size:24pt;
color:#FFFFFF;height:153;
"scrollamount="4" direction="down">
<a href="http://www.google.com">google</a></marquee>

Now for some reason this link is unattractive! This is like a link, but it does not act as one. Anyway, could I make this work guys?

By the way, using FF 3.5

Well, just to show you that I have the number of tents that I come across:

www.letsgettagged.tk, this is not real, but I just needed to use something for my idea. I'm still going to add more scrollers, but this is what I put together very quickly.
