How can I use PDF 1.6 documents in Perl CAM :: PDF?

Question

I am encountering some problems using CAM::PDFwith PDF documents which%PDF-1.6

Is there any way to convert them to 1.3? (preferably as a free batch)

What I'm doing now is print files using the free PDF995 . The resulting PDF file %PDF-1.3. However, I would need to redo many documents.

You can use Ghostscript to set:

gs -dNOPAUSE -sDEVICE=pdfwrite -dCompatibilityLevel=1.3 -sOUTPUTFILE=out.pdf -dBATCH in.pdf
