Flex3 Line points too close to the edge

Question

I have a Flex3 LineChart component using CircleItemRenderer and the data points are clipped because they are too close to the edge. Here's what it looks like:

As you can see, the circles on the left and right sides are cropped.

How can I make the LineSeries area plus horizontal labels narrower to fit the area of ​​the chart?

I got this to work by changing the type from LineChart to ColumnChart. I still had the same axis definitions as the Line Series. The results are the same line graph, but are more focused on the graph, rather than touching the edges. None of the other additions or gutters were what I was looking for.
