Weird Visual Studio 2008 Behavior: Build Failure, Missing Error Message?

EDIT: This is VS 2008 NOT VS 2005. Sorry for the typo .

When I try to create two fairly large solutions for projects in Visual Studio 2008 (2 projects: 6686 files), and after everything is in order, my projects will not be built. VS informs me that the assembly failed, but it does not tell me that I am mistaken !? I tried cleaning, rebuilding, rebooting, almost everything. Ideas?

EDIT2: the problem is solved, but ...
I moved the project to another directory, and then returned it to the same old directory again, and this magic worked !: S I don't know what was wrong: S

I found a problem. In the end, it was not about permissions. CSC.exe has a dependent assembly Microsoft.VC90.CRT. I found this error in the windows event viewer. Therefore, I installed the VC ++ 2008 runtime, and my application starts now. I do not know, I think that this should have been caught by the verification step in ICE. Maybe the guys from MS should look at this as this will cause a lot of people to cycle (I included :)).
