jQueryUI Selectable (jqueryui.com/demos/selectable/#default) does not have multiple selection with the shift key, selecting all the elements between the first one and what you are. They have an effect to select all the elements included in the field that you draw with the mouse, but this effect should override the drag effect.
jQuery Sortable (jqueryui.com/demos/sortable/#display-grid) has no multiple choices, as shown in the video.
