How do you access user controls on the main page from an asp: content page using a wizard?

I keep getting these requests for “make me a tool for xyz” for the web application we are breaking up.

So, after the third, I realized that it would be easier to combine them all together and use the main page.

I have a MessageCenter user control that I use for error messages, successes, and informational messages, so I dropped it on the main page.

Usually, when msgcenter is on a regular aspx page, I call its method and stuff from the code, as in this section:
