Combining PDF GhostScript Files (Lost Editable Fields)

Question

I use GhostScript to merge with PDF files into one PDF file. One of the PDF files has text field fields (editable fields) that I created in Adobe Acrobat Pro 9. When I combine these two PDF files with GhostScript, I lose the text field fields.

Is there a way to combine these files (using GS or some other free linux software) that saves the textbox fields intact?

Ghostscript does the equivalent of printing, so you lose editable fields.
