Django database connection pool with psycopg2.pool

Question

I am trying to implement a persistent connection pool with django. One option is to use inline code psycopg2.poolthat provides various types of pools (PersistentConnectionPool, ThreadedConnectionPool, etc.), but there is no psycopg2 documentation in this thread.

So, did anyone do any work in this direction or did they have some kind of working code? I just don't want to reinvent the wheel.
