What is possible with Silverlight?

I'm curious to try Silverlight, but I'm curious about its features. For example, I know that it supports C #, but does it support all C #? Can I do anything with it, what can I do with regular C #, for example? Is there a limitation, could I, for example, use any graphics engine / framework already written for C #, or is there something else I should know before I get excited about it?

Short answer: Silverlight is a shortened version of .NET Runtime. Therefore, most of the .NET library is missing. However, do not confuse C # with .NET Runtime.
