Obviously, Windows Vista Home Basic and Premium do not come with integrated Windows authentication for IIS (you need a version for business) ... so does anyone know how to get Windows authentication for IIS?
I went to Programs and Features> Turn Windows Features On or Off . Then, in the Windows Properties pop-up window, I went to ... Internet Information> World Wide Web Services> Security>
Only the following options are available in the Security section:
- Basic Authentication
- IP Security
- Request Filtering
- URL Authorization
I found this fix , but he gave me this error message:
The update patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program you want to update may not be available, or the update patch may update another version of the program . Make sure that the program exists on your computer and that you have the correct update patch.
So this makes me think, because this is a fix for Visual Studio 2005, and I'm using Visual Studio 2008. Does anyone know a fix that applies to Visual Studio 2008?
