Can I code in Firebug and save to a remote directory?

This will save a huge amount of time, since Firebug is what I use for debugging anyway.

I would like to save changes made to a remote or even local directory. Is it possible?

(bonus: can I also develop php, not just html / javascript / css?)

You can save the changes you have made to Firebug for CSS and HTML by simply copying it and pasting it into your editor. However, inside Firebug itself there is no function to save the content that I know of.

In addition, this will only work for simple HTML, JS, and CSS files. If there is something generated on the server , you still need to update your server templates manually, because the client (Firefox with Firebug) will not know about the template. It will only generate the generated code.

You can use a note to save edited pages, which, however, only work most of the time. It saves all files locally based on the current DOM.
