Visual Studio debugger step to compiled source

I want to be able to enter the source code that is behind a third-party (non-.NET framework) dll that my own user code refers to. I have done this before, but I cannot now. When I try to intervene, VS says that there is no source, and I would like to go for a showdown.

How to make VS request me a link to the source code for login?

You will need the debug file (.pdb) of the assembly you want to enter.
