Confirm the alert field in javascript and ASP.net like Hotmail

Question

I am trying to create a confirmation window similar to the Hotmail Confirm window when we click on the "Empty folder" in the "Junk Mail" folder.

but I can’t understand that it works, and the logic behind it.

I am using ASP.Net 2 in VS 2005 Pro.

Is there any special logic that goes beyond the scope of the confirmation field, such as the one used by Hotmail, or the user control. which works based on a pressed button or action performed as OK or Cancel.
