Am I having trouble replacing table and column names from top to camel with JPA?

Column and table names created by JPA providers when you do not use tags @Columnor the like are always capitalized. I think the JPA specification even says what is needed. But is there a specific technical reason, for example, a backend that is case insensitive?

In other words, will it be my habit to always set names on a stone with an argument namein the annotation @Columnto go around me and bite me once?

(Please note that I appreciate the configuration convention, but sometimes I just want to have one.)
