I have an exe file. I want to run it as a windows service.
I am new to windows services. Can anybody help me?
Thanks Suneetha.
There is a tool called SrvAny that comes with a set of Windows resources that you can use to do this on the command line. You can use this if you do not have access to the source code of your program.
SC.exe from Microsoft http://support.microsoft.com/kb/251192
Or: http://kennethhunt.com/archives/001728.html
As Dave and Ruben recommended, SRVANY will do the basic task of running your EXE file as a service, but you should be careful. Please review this article comparing SRVANY with our commercial AlwaysUp application , which is designed to run any application as a Windows service.
Good luck
