Create multiple versions of the iPhone app

Question

I made an application for the iPhone, and now I would like to make several versions of the same application with very slightly different functions.

I was wondering if anyone knows how best to duplicate a project with as little resolution as possible (I think the right term) as much as possible.

Maybe someone there who made a LITE version of their iPhone application? How did they do it and what lessons did they learn from it?
