Library for sending trackbacks / pingbacks in php

I am writing my own blog system. Is there a library for sending trackbacks / pingbacks or a good example on how to do this? I played with xmlrpc and the mail method, but to no avail. I need a working class, would I also pay for the script, any ideas? Thanks

It may come too late, but I really asked myself the same question a while ago. I did not find a good library, so I wrote my own instead. I posted the repository at https://github.com/tedeh/pingback-php

It should be pretty simple.
