Do I need MSI for every OS?

I have a client who asks to provide us with an MSI file instead of our regular EXE file for installing our software. The client has users in several Windows operating systems (2K, XP, Vista). As indicated in the title of the question, I need to create an MSI specific to each OS, or an MSI common enough to work on all of these operating systems.

. MSI files can run successfully on multiple operating systems.

One caveat is 32-bit and 64-bit: you need to choose whether you want to support 64-bit Windows. Your options:

1) .MSI 32- 64-. 32- . 32- 64- Windows. (, (x86), 32- HKLM//WOW64 ..)

2) .MSI, 32- 64-. . , 64- 64- 64- Windows. (, Program Files, HKLM/Software ..)

: 64- Windows
